Beryllium Copper

The NGK Ultra Supra II Plus enable high-cycle plastic forming, improves quality, and ensure a long life for casting mols.

NGK Ultra Supra II Plus Features

Thermal conductivity and temperature hardness, the beryllium-copper alloy the following features as casting mold material used for plastic forming

Machinability

While this material offers cutting performance similar to steel of equivalent hardness, even better performance can be achieved by slightly changing the machining conditions.

Weldability

Because this copper alloy has excellent thermal conductivity, use a TIG welder in the following manner:

  • Use high welding amperage, approximately 3 times that for steel
  • Use a welding rod made of a compatible material
