Introduction

The KDAMAX is high-performance hot-tool steel for large-size dies that features superior crack resistance at the round corners of metal molds and crack resistance at water holes.

Features of KDAMAX

1. Superior heat-check resistance

Superior heat-check resistance for complicated mold shapes.

Prolongs the service life at round corners of metal molds where complex stresses are centralized when manufacturing thin products.

 

2. Suppresses large cracks at the water holes

Suppresses large cracks at the water holes due to embrittlement in water caused by rust.

 

3. Superior hardening performance

Improves the hardening performance to suppress tenacity deterioration in large-size products.
